New Baby cards

I can't believe that it has been so long since I last posted on here. My crafting mojo has been on holiday, that's my excuse!!

I am now a proud Great Auntie (or as I am now named Granty!) to Jamie Stephen, and have been busy making cards for my niece, my sister, and my mum (and their other halves as well!). I made 3 cards, all virtually the same, and boxes to put them so that they are more of a keepsake than a card.

The patterned papers and elements are all from Raspberry Roads "My Baby Love" collection and have been printed onto white pearl card. Most of the stickers are Forever Friends "Hugs and Cuddles" from docrafts. All the letters and the teddy bear were cut using the Cricut, and the ribbon and vellum were from my stash. They took me quite a while to make, but they were well worth it for the reaction that I got this morning!

Hope that you like them, Em xx

Women ATC's

These are the ATC's that I have made for a swap over on the craftnomads forum. The theme was "Women". I got the images from http://shabbychicpapirskatter.blogspot.com/ and printed them out onto craft paper for the background and also onto plain vellum for the main image. The flowers are Flora Doodles mini florettes and the ribbon and brads are from my stash. The picture isn't brilliant as I have scanned the images.

Fathers Day...part 2!

Made my Dad's card and forgot about one for Shaun's Dad, till he came back from cycling, asked me what crafting I had been doing, then asked me to make a card for his Dad!! Just a quick one so nothing special, but he'll like it.

Me and my Dad

This is the card that I have made my Dad for Fathers Day. I found the picture when I was doing a recent circle journal on childhood memories and thought it would be perfect for Fathers Day.

The Dog House!!!

This is a card that I made for my father-in-law for his birthday. I have always made him nautical type cards in the past as he was a seaman (of some description!) but wanted something different this year, and he likes dogs so that's what I did. Mummy-in-law asked me did I think that he was always in the doghouse!!!

Circle Journal - Where I live

Hello

Finished my pages in a CJ on the Craftnomads forum earlier this week. It was all about the place where you live, and these are the 2 pages which I created for my hometown of Ormskirk. Okay, just 1 page...I was obviously having a really stupid moment and didn't save the scan of the other page!!!!

Christening Card

Well this was a challenge...i've never been asked to make a christening card before, so had to have a bit of a search for inspiration!! Please excuse the picture as I am still scanning my cards instead of taking pics, so the image isn't the best!

I printed the "congratulations on your christening day" on vellum to make a wrap and then ripped the edge to expose some of the white background card and tied it round with satin and organza ribbon. I cut the teddybear on the cricut using white pearlescent paper and pink core-dinations paper which was sanded. The feet were stamped in pink and then clear embossed, and the name was done with Papermania rub-ons

Happy Sunny Sunday!!

Hello everyone

As I'm on the computer upstairs again today, I thought I would post some more cards that I have made recently. It was my Mum's birthday and she loves cats, so thought I would use my Clarity cat and sayings stamps for her card. The tag is made from sanded core-dinations card and the ribbons, fibres, flowers and letters are from my stash.

The next card is one I made for a friend on the Craftnomad forum. I used the same Clarity saying stamp, but tried to give the card a vintage feel. I used K & Co life's journey button paper, torn vellum and core-dinations card, the base card was DCWV, with flora doodles flowers and rub-on image, buttons and lace from my stash.
The last card was made for another friend on Craftnomads who likes...trees! I used my cricut to cut the leaves, and used the leftover for the trim on the inside of the card. All the card and ribbon was from my stash.

Off now to make a birthday card for my Niece who is Twenteen (!!) on Tuesday

Have a good day, Love n' hugs Em xx

Thank you Sandie!

Wow...another award!! Thank you to Sandie, you've made my day!! Pop over and see her blog at http://sandiesspace.blogspot.com/. Her creations are lovely (as is her blog!).
I'd love to nominate it on, but everyone I know has already received it...just goes to show what inspirational people we are.
Okay, so one thing that no one knows about me...I used to be in a ten pin bowling team, and have trophies - including one for a high score of 247!! (Okay, that was with my handicap, but I still scored 215 without!)
Thanks again Sandie

Birthday Cards

Well, I'm actually using the PC upstairs today so I can actually post some picture of some cards that I have made recently. I've had four 40th birthdays, plus my Mum's birthday and loads on the Craftnomads forum. It used my cricut for both of the male cards.

These are the four 40th cards that I made - 2 for male friends...

And 2 for Female Friends...

My First Blog Award!!!

Thanks to Alison over at Hairy Harrys Craft for my first blog award...wow, you have made my day! Check out her gorgeous blog at http://hairyharrysblogger.blogspot.com/.

Thursday 23 April 2009

Well, I set up my blog...and then haven't posted since!! I even had to go onto the forum to find out what i'd called it as I couldn't remember, and then I couldn't remember my password!!! There is just no hope for me!

My excuse is that i've been ill. Nothing too serious, just a throat infection which seems to have cleared up after taking my antibiotics.

Not done much crafting lately, except for the pages that I completed in Jo's circle journal which I am part of on Craft Nomads. But I won't post pictures as I don't want to spoil the surprise! Have made a 40th birthday card for a friend today, but the picture is on computer upstairs and I am on OH laptop downstairs. Will try and post some pic's over the weekend.

Well, bedtime is beckoning - only 2 more sleeps until the craft show at Aintree.
